VICTOR & JACQUELINE GILCHRIST

GandG Productions: Doing Sound on Another Level Since 1985

GandG Productions began with a dream, a husband’s vision, and a wife’s faith. In 1983, Victor Gilchrist turned to his new bride, Jacki, and shared his dream: “I want to start a sound company.” Jacki—who only knew microphones from singing in the church choir—smiled and said, “What’s that?” When a credit card unexpectedly arrived in the mail, she looked at Victor and said, “Let’s go start that sound company you were talking about.”

That leap of faith birthed GandG Productions in 1985, built on love, belief, and a commitment to excellence. With just four microphones, an off-brand powered mixer, and two speakers, the company was born. The name GandG stands for Gilchrist and Gilchrist, a husband-and-wife team determined to create something greater than themselves.

Jacki learned the ropes from the ground up—how to plug in microphones, connect speakers, and mix sound—under Victor’s steady guidance. They later sharpened their craft together at Trod Nossel Recording Studio in Wallingford, CT, where they completed a sound reinforcement program. Their first paid gig was at Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ in New Haven, CT, providing sound for a local Gospel Awards show. That event was just the beginning.

Over the years, GandG Productions has evolved from humble beginnings into a trusted, full-service sound and production company, recognized for its commitment to quality, excellence, and integrity. The company has proudly provided production services for Universal Records, as well as a diverse range of national and international clients. Its impressive portfolio spans both Gospel and mainstream artists, including industry legends such as Hezekiah Walker, Donnie McClurkin, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Fred Hammond, Commissioned, John P. Kee, Mississippi Mass Choir, the Williams Brothers, Ricky Dillard, JJ Hairston, Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, Kim Burrell, Mary Mary, Walter Hawkins, Tramaine Hawkins, and Marvin Sapp. GandG has also worked alongside influential voices such as T.D. Jakes, Jackie McCullough, Jamal Bryant, Paula White, Al Sharpton, and President Bill Clinton. Their reach extends into mainstream music with clients including Alicia Keys, Angie Stone, Freddie Jackson, Ashford & Simpson, Keke Wyatt, Bell Biv DeVoe (BBD), Tyrese, Ja Rule, Jay-Z, the Apollo Band (Ray Chew and the Crew), Salt-N-Pepa, Biz Markie, and many more.
